Shopping and Stair Sliding

Bella and I went on our first one-on-one girls shopping trip last night

(since her little sister was born, anyway).

We did the most girlie thing out there….shoe shopping! She helped me pick out a purse too. (my current one was gettin’ a bit skanky and deserved to be put out of it’s misery.) She kept picking out the biggest bags with the most sequins and metal sparkly things attached to them….a few with beads and feathers. She even found some with giant birds painted across the front that she thought we should buy for our friend who is sort of a bird afficianado. The majority of her comments though when it came down to making a choice between a handful of my favorite purses was "You’re the grown up mama so you can decide." Not exceptionally helpful but she posed with the potential purses so i could take a picture to send to my sister to help me decide. Thank goodness for modern technology! Funny how the subtraction of one little two year old can change the dynamic of a shopping trip.

Bella was over the moon because she got some new dr. suess books that were on clearance. Usually if you ask her if she had fun (like after the last kids party) she whines and says she "didn’t have too much fun", so I decided not to ask her if she enjoyed her one on one mommy shopping time last night. It’s the first time we’ve been out just the two of us since she was a baby!

But on the way home she told me that "today was the best day EVER!!!". I was sooo surpised! She didn’t seem to be having all that much fun. Go figure! LOL

Here is a video I took this afternoon of the girl’s favorite sport:
