Many do with opportunities as children do at the seashore;
they fill their little hands with sand,
and then let the grains fall through, one by one, till all are gone.
— Thomas Jones

As I’m going through piles (and boxes of piles) of old papers, I’m constantly finding papers scribbled with ideas for things I wanted to do or create. In some cases, there are multiple pages stapled together of challenges that I wanted to participate in…..the deadlines long since passed. Every time I pick up a new Somerset magazine, I see wonderful, creative things and recognize the names of artists whom I admire and chat with from time to time….and I get frustrated. They rock, clearly. But in addition to their talent, they also are organized enough to SUBMIT their work to magazines and books for publication.

I need to think clearly enough for long enough to get organized. Then I need to FOLLOW THRU. Sheesh, why is this so hard???
